Enjoyed DCHS yesterday, very peaceful day with only about a dozen people; those of us in the pools were nude but there were a few people with shirts on next to the tree at the beach, probably cause of the biting wind that was coming down the canyon. Overall, overcast, undercrowded, and simply paradise. The creek still seems cold but everyone is crossing by walking or swimming if they are so inclined. Some equestrian riders came down for a spell and rested their horses by the creek farther up the beach, and it truly felt like it was the 50's and not 2005. The Arizona pool is starting to come back, the creek is still a few inches above where it can safely be built, but a small (1-person) soaking pool has been erected that is very effective, at least until the creek is farther down a week or two from now.

There was a lot of trash on the Bowen Ranch trail that I picked up as I went back yesterday, especially in the parking area and in the part of the trail south of 3W02. Please take the cans, cigarette butts, underwear, wiring, whatever with you... its only nature if we leave it nature.
