Speaking of closed routes:
On my last trip to deep creek. I noticed that the closed routes in Juniper flats are no longer an issue, or so it seems. There used to be a closed route sign on JF 4. But on my last trip it seemed to be gone and heavily used. This closed road made the JF3-JF4 trip .2 miles longer and a lot bumpyer. The road I am talking about is at the 1.7 mile mark after you turn off of Bowen ranch rd. Or @ .1 mile before the turn onto JF3. I never used this road before not wanting to rub the BLM the wrong way. But did that trip because it appears to be the shortest most heavily used. As I traveled toward the freedom trail I noticed Castro's motorcycle trail had @ 10 closed signs on it.
So my question is this - since the wemo plan is apparently in effect. Is the forest restoreation now a non issue?
Perhaps a call to our public servents at the BLM field office in Barstow can solve this mistery? Any volunteers want to do this for me? I think I have worn out my wecome there :-)
