This is the news article about the congressional hearing. Forest Supervisor Gene Zimmerman knew about the tinderbox in the San Bernardino National Forest in April 1999. He knew about the drought and this forest has historically been adversly affected by bark beetles in the past.
Dennis Hansberger is the County Supervisor for this district. More to be revealed about him later.
