Moss Mill Rd. closure begs WEMO comments

WEMO states: "They also cited the closure of the long used Moss Mill Road was due to a 17 year trespass issue."

That is absurd! The Moss Mill buildings were razed years ago. Is BLM concerned that someone may park their car on Moss Mill Rd. and take up permanent residence?

BLM's previously presented justification for closure of Moss Mill Rd. was that BLM does not have an easement across Bowen Ranch. That is a blatant misrepresentation of fact, and was wisely avoided by the WEMO team.

Convenient Moss Mill Rd. was illegally closed by Mike Castro to maintain profitability of his competing toll road concession.

His alliance with the Barstow Field Office benefited him in not only getting sanction for this illegal closure, but also in being given a replacement connector route for his OHV buds through the primary cultural site on Juniper Flats.

While 2WD hotspringers must pay a toll to Mike for USFS access, his OHV friends will still connect directly to USFS for free on J1299.

Why did BLM present false information about the easement and keep Moss Mill Rd. off the table in WEMO?
