Arizona Mike was one of the original officers in the Friends of Deep Creek. Since he was at the Friends of Deep Creek meetings, he would know about the ownership of the building. Since Arizona Mike was one of the original founders, let's ask him what really happened to the Friends of Deep Creek? If the Friends of Deep Creek had been successful, the plan was for Bowen Ranch to have been managed by the nonprofit and been of benefit to the hotspringers.
The intention of the Friends of Deep Creek is contained in the minutes of the first meeting posted on this website under Caution: Violence Occurring.
Instead the Friends of Deep Creek was destroyed by Mike Castro. The membership dominated through fear and intimidation. I have spoken to the other members and read journals that were kept of that time.
However, the most important issue at hand is the future of Deep Creek. Yes, I do think that the toads, violence, lack of facilities and lack of funding for management may lead to restrictions if not closure of Deep Creek to the public. I also realize that I alone have no power with these public agencies.
