It also happened recently at Scenic Hot Springs. Katrina is totally correct in pointing out the realistic possibility that BLM and the Forest Service can close human access to Deep Creek. In my opinion, the most likely cause for closure will be violence.
A few years back, Oh-My God Hot Well in Imperial County was closed ,capped, and bulldozed. Why? Because someone was murdered at the hot springs. I was there during the time so I know what happened.
