Bear Valley Road is extremly congested due to the Rock Springs Road closure across the Mojave River. Its best to avoid it during rush hour. One way is to linger and watch the sunset. After 7pm the traffic gets better. Its wise to keep a pair of shorts handy when hiking. The USFS recognizes the clothing optional principle within the Deep Creek non motorized area. The BLM lands are subject to a different law enforcement mentality. The Bradford Ridge trail is on USFS administered lands.
