I was looking for opinions on which DCHS access trail would be closest to me when commuting in from Long Beach. I have only used the Bowen Ranch access but every trip it seems like it is taking longer and longer to drive from the I15 to the Bowen Ranch. The the trip back to the I15 is even worse! Bear Valley road is turning into a parking lot. On the way back to the I15 I have been cutting over to Main street but that is only a little better (due to the constrution going on for the new I15 on and off ramps).
My question is this: coming from Long Beach would it be quicker for me to drive to the Bradford Ridge Trail trailhead rather then the Bowen Ranch trailhead? I have never driven the Hwy. 138 to 173 route before. Does anyone else commute from the LA area have any opinions?
Also is the Bradford Ridge Trail as clothing optional friendly as the Bowen Ranch trail?
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
