Thanks for giving us a report of your good time down at the springs Pierre. I can see that you had a great time. Not many people swim in the creek on these cold December days and I'm sure it was " Refreshing " to say the least. If you see a storm with snow level down to 3000 feet then you should find some snow at DCHS. The snow many times melts quickly so its best to get up there as early as possible to see the white stuff on the ground and bushes. You mentioned enjoying " fighting " with the snow. Perhaps you meant " playing " with the snow. I've just never heard of anyone fighting with snow :-) I took some pictures on a trip to the springs in the snow last year and you can see them at one of the links below on this forum. The link is " more hotsprings pictures ". On the main page of this link scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Wizard. The first 30 or so pictures are of the snow around the springs. There are a total of 80 pictures on seven pages and you might find it interesting to look at the other ones too. Also you can click on the link " Wizards pictures " at the bottom of this page and you will find some more good pictures of Deep Creek Hotsprings and the surrounding area. Again glad that you enjoyed your trip and hope your next one is just as fun :-)
