Road Closed

On my way to the DCV meeting from my home in Apple Valley I found that a portion of Rock Springs road was closed. This is a common route traveled by visitors to DCHS coming from the 15 FWY taking the Main St. off ramp. The portion of Rock Springs road between Deep Creek Road and where it turns into Kiowa is closed because they are creating a new road that will improve the situation of sharp curves at the eastern end of Rock Springs road. It looks like this project may take some time, months maybe, so I thought I'd mention it since DCHS may open up because of sufficient rains before this project is done and visitors would be advised to use the next off ramp past Main St. which is Bear Valley road which crosses the Mohave river. Bear Valley is also a popular route to move across the valley to the Bowen Ranch road.
