That was very informative, it sounds like the road grader dude is doing his job. That float is a good idea. But the cold water feels good to us health nuts, or maybe I should not mention them things with cold water ;~)

It helps us old geezers to stay in shape. But you know the real reason I do it is for all those good looking women :~) It isn't really too hard to do. There is a 6 inch drain pipe at the bottom. Pull the plug and help gravity do it's thing. A nose plug would have been nice. You are welcome to take advantage of these Nevada hot springs anytime.
