HesperiaMan, I would be remiss in not offering some remarks in Jobe's defense. You criticized him for not joining DCV's cleanup efforts, but not everyone can be there whenever they'd like to. If you read far enough back on this forum, you might discover that Jobe has a stash of hoses for cleaning the pools when they need it and he can get around to it.
The fact is that Jobe lives in Las Vegas, and a day trip to DCHS is quite time consuming. Believe me, Jobe would visit DCHS every day if it were possible.
Also, Jobe is one the most ambitious hot springs caretakers I've ever met. At the hot springs near Vegas, where he frequently visits, he's been known to pack in concrete and shovels to repair and improve pools damaged by storms or wreckless people. And I've never seen him depart without a trash bag filled with garbage left by careless visitors, both around the pools and along the trail.
Good to see you've joined in the benevolent efforts of DCV, and that you're enjoying DCHS and the new friends you've made. Just try to be a little less judgemental of the ones you haven't met, yet.
