In the last two times I've been to Deep Creek, I've had a backpack stolen and my friends' car window smashed. As much as I love the place, that's two bad things in a row that's happened. That's not just a freaky coincidence. There's way too much crime and bad elements in the Deep Creek area. My time at the springs there is done. There are lots of beautiful places in California and I will take my time to explore and enjoy them. I wish all of you luck in your efforts to make Deep Creek a better and safer place. Happy trails!
