The slide I saw was in '95. I used to drive up to Rincon to swim, as I was going there I had to pull over for the fire trucks and ambulence. After my swim, I would stop in that store and buy coconut icecream bars. On that day the road was blocked for the rescue workers. I saw some banana trees in the news pictures. But as you know, people up there plant them in their yards too. The site for those pictures would not load up. So I surfed (so to speak) the UCSB site and found Graces site very interesting. What a gal.
La Conchita was a simalar to Oz place, except for the highway noise.
