Jobe, one of my buds lives at La Conchita. I'll post his website link with pics shortly. He said some of the banana plantation got wiped out, but as you know, its a bit north of where the slide was. Both lanes of 101 closed. Some cars stranded. 2 people known dead. Slides have been a problem there for years. We saw a big one back in 1969. We had just finished surfing 10 foot Rincon during that huge north swell from that biggest storm. We were hungry and drove to the La Conchita store. As we were leaving the store, we heard a rumble and turned around and saw the slide. It wiped out a few houses.
