King City, CA…Trail crews will begin removing trees and improving trail conditions on the Pine Ridge and Terrace Creek Trails January 11 through January 22. The work will include blasting. Terrace Creek Trail and Camp will be closed for the duration of the project work, and will include intermittent closures of Pine Ridge Trail, Ventana Camp and Barlow Flat Camp. Visitors should expect delays of up to four hours.

"We are excited about the long-term benefits that this work will create for the recreation experience on the Monterey Ranger District," said Monterey District Ranger Sherry Tune. "While I understand there will be a temporary inconvenience, it will greatly enhance the benefits for trail users in the Ventana Wilderness."
