...ANOTHER STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE SOUTH OVER THE COASTAL
WATERS TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...
A STRONG STORM SYSTEM ORIGINATING IN THE GULF OF ALASKA WILL MOVE
SOUTHWARD ALONG THE CALIFORNIA COAST TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THE
ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE COASTAL WATERS OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO COUNTY TUESDAY AFTERNOON OR EVENING...THEN PROGRESS
SOUTHWARD...MOVING SOUTH OF SAN MATEO POINT ON WEDNESDAY MORNING.
SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO NEAR GALE FORCE ON TUESDAY ACROSS THE
OUTER WATERS...AND BY TUESDAY NIGHT ACROSS THE INNER WATERS. SEAS
WILL BUILD TO BETWEEN 10 AND 15 FEET OVER THE OUTER WATERS
TUESDAY...AND BUILD TO 4 TO 9 FEET ACROSS THE INNER WATERS TUESDAY
NIGHT.
IN ADDITION TO THE STRONG WINDS AND HIGH SEAS...SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT WITH THE
PASSAGE OF THE COLD FRONT. A THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE
INTO WEDNESDAY...AS A COLD AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS REMAINS IN PLACE
OVER CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. WATERSPOUTS AND FUNNEL CLOUDS
WILL BE A POSSIBILITY AS WELL.
WATERSPOUTS CAN FORM WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. SEEK SAFE
HARBOR IF A WATERSPOUT IS SPOTTED. REPORT SEVERE WEATHER TO THE
NEAREST LAW ENFORCMENT AGENCY. THEY WILL RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
