Another event to look out for. During heavy rains water is occasionally released from Lake Arrowhead which can result in a rush of water suddenly and I have heard left people stranded on the other side. This would more likely occur in like late Feb or March. During one of those events, the water rushed through above the anniversary pool, washed it out. Remember the rope from one bank to the other and the ice freezing water as we crossed on an inflated raft our hearts pounding. When I went to leave, the raft was on the other side. I was able to convince someone to have mercy on me and be a gentleman. He retrieved the raft for me. It was still just as cold. El Nino year past.
