I have never heard of any temperature gauge. Deep Creek is over 20 miles long, and goes from high in the mountains to the desert. Also there is the variable weather, cold winters, hot summers and everything in between so the temperature of Deep Creek depends on a combination of those things. I measured the creek at DCHS a couple of weeks ago and it was 49 degrees. In the same big pond I measured 91 degrees one hot summer day last summer. From the Mohave Forks Dam where Deep Creek ends ( actually just changing its name to the Mohave River ), all the way up into the high country where it starts near Green Valley Lake, the creek gets cooler as the elevation increases. I prefer the warmer parts of Deep Creek in its lower part, and it is especially warm in the big pool at DCHS
