Camping in the Springs

I know it's illegal to camp down in the Springs, and I know people get busted for it. And I've seen people do it and get away with it. I'm thinking of trying to camp down there one of these weekends with a few friends. No fire, very mellow, tucked in along the river. Does anyone have any good info on my chances of getting caught by the gov't? Any tips on how to get away with it? Also, what's the scene in the tubs like at night? Uncrowded? Romantic? Dangerous? Any info greatly appreciated.
