If one explores upstream to the warmsprings on the map, one will find a nice gooey muddy area next to the creek. Not worth the effort. Hiking the PCT up to the Devil's Hole is an experience. There are miles and miles of secluded pools along the way but access is limited from the trail due to cliffs. One can cross country hike along the creek. Take a fly rod as the fishing is exceptional at times.
