I come from LA and I can tell you one thing for sure. If you are going in the Bowen Ranch route your main drama will be the 15. Avoid this on Friday afternoon going up and Sunday afternoon going down. These are the 2 worse times to travel that stretch because you will be with the Vegas/ River people going away for the weekend. good luck.
