AZUSA, Calif., On Saturday June 4, 2016 in the Angeles National Forest/San Gabriel Mountains National Monument, Crystal Lake Recreation Area — More than 100 volunteers will gather to celebrate National Trails Day, and lend a hand to repair and maintain some heavily visited trails within the Monument. Volunteers will be heading up to work on the scenic Crystal Lake Trail System. Presentations and lunch will be provided to participants. “The Forest and Monument manages nearly seven hundred miles of trails for the public to enjoy year-round. This year on National Trails Day volunteers and forest staff will get a chance to give back to these trails” said Jeffrey Vail, Forest Supervisor.
