Ahh, the " globe " is warming, I get it now ; ) This subject of the springs hot water flows reminds me of this guy a while back who contacted me through the DCV website, questions there go to me, and he was wanting to test the various hot water sources at DCHS. He thinks that hot springs waters are what he called if I remember correctly, geothermal water, which he feels is actually produced inside of the earth by chemical reactions, and it then works its way to earth's surface. He was telling me how he thinks this type of water is abundant all over the earth and all we have to do is drill a bunch of wells to tap into it and Walla, the world's water problems would be solved. Eventually it appeared that he was working to make some sort of business venture out of this, as he had a website and was seeking to get investors for this over in Europe. I tried to google " geothermal water " and got nothing on it. It reminds me of some peoples prognostications that oil is also produced inside the earth, this being called by them, Abiotic Oil. Oy, what will they think up next ; ) I tried to explain to this guy that the springs water comes from water percolating down into the fault system, where it gathers heat the works its way back out to the surface somewhere else. One thing I do know, it is delicious water to drink and I bring some home with me every time I visit DCHS : )
