A few friends and I went to DCHS yesterday. Bowen Ranch Road is washed out in many places, but it's still passable. We made it through in three regular-size sedans, though there were definitely spots that we needed to take slowly.
The river crossing came up a little above my waist at the deepest spot, and the water is *cold.*
The Anniversary Pool's wall has been broken, and it's practically empty of water now. Some folks were there prepping to repair it, though.
Womb pool is now 3 or 4 feet deep, instead of the 8 ft it used to be, and is quite nice. Crab cooker has quite a bit of sand in it, but it looks like it's washing out already. Arizona Pool is under water still.
Quite a few people at the springs as it got to late morning and early afternoon, including one guy with a stereo who was playing loud music. Looks like he's camping there for awhile.
Pix here.
All in all, a nice day!
Joel
