Thanks for the info Katrina. I would tend to think that the Forestry Dept would want to work with the BLM to preserve access to thier northern boundry in the springs area. I did find the BLM to show less concern than the Forestry Dept, for the publics interest in accessing the areas around the north side of DCHS. It wouldn't completely supprise me for them to do something like you suggested in the previous post. If they did make such a distant common access point then people could go to the south side and access through the Bradford Ridge route ( Forestry territory ) which is about two and a half miles from parking to the springs. Better than hiking from the village area if what you suggested were to happen :-)
