Thanks Rick for posting this- it reminds me of an excellent book called Crazy For The Storm by Norman Ollestad. It's about how he survived a small-plane crash in the San Gabriel mountains in 1979. It also includes a lot of good stuff on his relationship with his larger than life father. For anyone who likes to read survival stories, this book is highly recommended!
