Jim, Some good advice there, thanks. Not knowing the lay of the land, I wasn't quite sure what Rick meant. Thanks for clarifying. Maps are good, observing the back-trail is good, and as an added precaution, I'll have my GPS with me. As far as rules go, mine are simple:
Respect the land (Mike's rules, and the custom's and courtesy's of the area fall in here).
Take nothing but pictures.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Pack out more than you packed in.
