The day after Xmas the Munchkins and I went for a hike into Granite Mountains and came across this cute little cactus that I had not seen before. It had these bright red " fruit like " buds sticking out on top as you can see in a photo I took of it, found at the Wizard's pictures link below, page 44, pic number 10. So perhaps someone can identify for us what kind of cactus this is, and were wondering if the little buds are some kind of blooms. Anyway, the Munchkins named it the Christmas Cactus :-)
