We hiked down to check it out on Sunday. The water was way to deep and swift. But there were two guys that swam across. I was just happy to visit the area and see the changes. It seems sad to see all the damage done but there is a lot of new life taking shape.

The most dramatic change is the huge wall of sand on the shore above the Az Pool It must be at least 20 feet deep! Another highly visible change is the thinning of the trees directly across from the beach. I hope maybe some nice soft sand has washed into that area and it will be great for relaxing on this summer. The trees near the Anniversary and Az Pools appear to be mostly gone/killed.

It sure was nice to be back even if we didn't get to soak. Only a handful of people were there but we did run into an old friend, Bob with his dog Rosie.

Maybe next weekend the water will only be waist-deep?
