This article is full of false statements.
First, Ivanpah is @ 60 miles S.W. of Las Vegas. I was there last week.
Second, it is a 500 megawatt solar generator with future expansion to 1200 megawatts.
Third, The fence which is already there will keep out any endangered species.
I suspect that anyone who opposses these projects have stock portfolios rich with oit and automotive stocks. Which will devaluate with the advent of green technoligies
such as these.
Forth, who cares which state or county generates electrity to whom as long as the light comes on when you flip the switch ? Only an idiot that's who.California has been stealing juice from the Hoover dam project for decades.
The acid rain from gas and diesel generation are much more harmful to the environment than the solar energy that is all around us all the time.
